Check out Smyrna. It's easily accessible to 75 and 285. (Both highways get to the airport in not much time.) The area was gentrified a number of years ago, and boasts a lot of great things: well-attended free summer concerts, a lovely library and community center -- with free gym for residents, good shopping ... and a diversity of cultures. I was very happy there.
2 :
Peachtree City, Newnan are close to the airport and are decent areas. I would stay away from College Park, East Point & Hapeville they aren't safe areas even though they are fairly close to the airport. If you don't mind a bit of a drive maybe check out Decatur, Smyrna, Vinings, Sandy Springs, Norcross and Stone Mountain.
3 :
Peachtree City is a wonderful small town just south of the airport. A lot of pilots and airport workers live there.
4 :
somewhere on MARTA seriously just take train to airport think about it a no-drive option with the traffic around here really you got to take it chamblee doraville brookhaven buckhead midtown decatur east lake avondale are all good and on MARTA wle

Our God is a good God...he is a forgiving God. Please go to www.thebossisfired.com and then e-mail me at byebyeretailtravel@yahoo.com We have plenty of room for educated people no matter what past circumstances are. If you have less than 500.00 I will help you with supplies. We are a 6 yr old company publically traded, and we change peoples lives one day at a time. If you have the gift to speak to people and ask something as simple as "do you travel?" You can do this business! I've been doing this business for 7 months and have earned in excess of mid 5 figures. e-mail me at byebyeretailtravel@yahoo.com

My roommate's boyfriend is an ex felon. He walked around a mall all day just to find a good job, and he got one. A lot of companies will overlook your criminal history in favor of a good personality and an obvious desire to improve yourself. I suggest applying for a job at as many places as you can, even if you don't think that you'll get the position. I live in the Atlanta metro area as well, this is why I answered your question. Atlanta is full of individual business owners who would rather have quality help, regardless of criminal history. Luckily, we live in the South which is pretty much a Bible belt. Many business owners believe in forgiveness and second chances. I strongly suggest for you to just go for it, and apply for jobs at as many places as possible.

I believe that once you have paid your debt to society, that should be the end of it. Unfortunately, employers don't always see it that way. I suggest you start a home business. I have one in health and wellness, and everyone starts out on a level playing field. Your past is just that, yours. No one else needs to know. If you are willing to roll up your sleeves, and really apply yourself, you can be financially secure in a very short period of time with the help of an entire team that will help you every step of the way. Training is done by telephone, we have nightly meetings that are optional but I always listen in. We also have several websites where you can listen in to recorded meetings that are of interest to you. I have seen people earn more than $2000 their first month and others in their second. Those with their back to the wall seem to try the hardest to find a way to become financially free and we help them every way we can. If you are interested in joining a company that is very integral and very cutting edge, I welcome you to join me and I will show you how to achieve whatever you need.

stay away from large corporation with HR departments they are impersonal and will not make an exception for the felony best bet try up start small companies or local mom pop operations, stay away from anything that requires a state license

About What are a list of jobs that i a 14 year old girl can work at in Atlanta Georgia

What are a list of jobs that i a 14 year old girl can work at in Atlanta Georgia?
I dont want nothing saying im too young. I you could leave a list of them that i may work at so that i can fill out an application. Thank You. i dont want to baby sit, deliver news papers, cut grass none of that stuff i want to be employed

1 :
baby sitter? thats all i can think of
2 :
publix kroger the street corner
3 :
Most places are not allowed to hire anyone under 16, its against the law. Baby sitting, maybe newspaper delivery, thats about it.
4 :
14, you're asking for a job. Never ask for a job- NEVER! You need to find something to do that adds value to someone's life, and let them know you would be willing to do it for them- for a price. You'll get the job before you ever fill out an application. At your age, I was raking leaves, shoveling snow, cleaning gutters, washing windows, and cutting grass. You can make really good money doing any one of these.
5 :
Try McDonalds. I know they hire 15 year olds (my 15 yrs old brother worked at one this summer) I do not know about 14 yr olds.
6 :
how about selling stuff? you can ask your parents to loan you some money to buy whit t-shirts that you can design yourself and sell at a higher price than what you bought the shirts for. or how about selling baked foods? you can bake pies or brownies and things like that and put them in boxes and sell them this christmas. you can also try babysitting, or get a newspaper route or mowing other people's lawns. you can also offer to clean other people's houses. some people might need their dogs walked. you could be a dog walker. you can also try to find out if you have any local business clubs that could help you find out if there are any companies that take in interns who are under 18. sometimes they may not pay you, but you could get a lot of exposure and training to the "real world" of business. you can also ask permission from your parents if you can sell stuff on ebay. you can sell your old clothes, books, dolls, toys, etc. try also asking your local boys and girls club or ymca/ywca if they might have any jobs for young women like you who are under 18. just be sure that you ask your parents for permission first before you go out exploring. people might take advantage of you since you're still young, so be sure nobody fools or tricks you.
7 :
Age 15 is the minimum age requirement in the state of Mississippi and probably Georgia. Right now, you should consentrate on your school. If you feel like you must work. Try asking your school if they have anything you can do, like be a Library aid, work in the concession stand at the football and basket ball games. It's called child labor law, you should research that in the state of GA.

You need to file them eventually, but if you owe the government money you need to file before the dead line so they won't audit you. If you was claiming 0 dependents while you was in georgia most likely you don't owe them.
2 :
Not only is it worthwhile, it is legally necessary.
3 :
I agree with the last respondent. Even if you don't owe a penny, it's imperative that you be up front and honest with the IRS. If not, it'll come back to haunt you.

Try alpineaccess.com it is a reputable work from home company that hires good. try selling things on ebay. or try a temp agency i tried manpower temp agency they were good the job did not last long but they found me something very quickly. good luck

A lot of catering companies hire people and pay them cash or pay them without taking any taxes out of their check. My college aged kids did this for a few summers. You never know when or where you're working but the pay situation seems to fit what you are asking.

I am soon to be moving to Atlanta and would like to know if it is possible to find good work in atlanta or the surrounding areas without having a college degree? Not Mc Donalds and not minimum wage. I'm from San Francisco and have had plenty of jobs without a college degree. I work for a law firm now and make over 30,000 a year.

Yes, they have Mcdonalds too.
2 :
Of course they have a lot of minimum wage jobs in Atlanta.
3 :
If not McDonalds, there is always the post office... or you could do general production on an assembly line. Way to strive for mediocrity.
4 :
How about journalism?
5 :
Great, sounds like you're ready to roll! There are lots of Law Firms here in Atlanta. Whether you're an urbanite or a Surburbanite. Check with temporary agencies specializing in legal support jobs. I'm not sure the pay is the same, of course you area aware everything is going to be less expensive here in Atlanta, however, I suspect you can earn atleast comparable to what you were earning! Good Luck and if you'll be visting before moving check this site to book your travel, exceptional rates: www.FiveStarRoyalTravel.com Good Luck!
6 :
yes!!!!! burger king, they are hiring now!!
7 :
Sure it is depending on your experience. Just remember that Atlanta's cost of living is less than San Fran's so 30K will go a little farther here. http://www.ajcjobs.com Thats a good place to get started.
8 :
There are plenty of jobs that can be acquired without a college degree. It might be a tedious search but it can be done. Try sticking to law since you have the experience and also consider: Human Resources, Real Estate, Medical Administration Services and Administrative Services/Support. To get ahead of the game you can get a recruiter and keep your eye on job sites for openings in the area. Try web sites such as Monster, Career Builder and/or others. And the honest truth is 30K in Cali - with the high cost of living for Cali that's not really much of a salary....in other places that's comparable to 24-28K. So that's probably what you can expect to receive in offers. But that just an estimate and it depends on your experience and references. If you obtain a headhunter recruiter they might be able to pull a higher salary for you.

Looks like you're supposed to hold a license from the state of Georgia. I went to the city of Atlanta's website and was directed here: http://www.municode.com/resources/gateway.asp?pid=10376&sid=10 I searched "Atlanta electrical" and found their code. Here it is: 103.4. MANDATORY LICENSE REQUIREMENTS. (a) Only partnerships or corporations engaged in the business of electrical contracting, installation or repairing shall be entitled to a permit under this Code for such business activities where there is regularly connected with such partnership or corporation a person or persons, actually engaged in the business of electrical contracting, installation or repairing, who holds a valid Electrical or Low-Voltage Contractor's License issued by the State of Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board. (b) Only a person engaged in the business of electrical contracting, installation or repairing shall be entitled to receive a permit under this Code for such business activities where such person holds a valid Electrical or Low-Voltage Contractor's License issued by the State of Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board. (c) All work requiring a permit under this Code shall be performed by an individual, firm, or corporation holding a valid business license in the City of Atlanta. (d) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation who is not an Electrical contractor duly licensed by the State of Georgia to display a sign stating or implying that he or they are carrying on the business of this Code or fails to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof, in the City of Atlanta Municipal Court, shall be assessed a fine of not less than $50.00 nor more than $1,000.00 and/or sentenced to no more than 60 days in the City Stockade. Where any offense continues from day to day, each day's continuance thereof shall be deemed a separate offense.
2 :
no you cant i heard all electricians from ohio are wired wrong
3 :
There may be an exemption in some states, it allows an owner to work on their own property without a license. You are prohibited from doing the work for money without the proper license. Sometimes you can "help" a neighbor do the work, if your union does not have a rule against it.
4 :
It varies from State to State. If it's for family, and you're not getting paid, you're OK most places. Some States now bar DIY electrical work. Best to ask the local inspector.
5 :
You may be able to pay a small fee and work under a locally licensed company if Atlanta doesn't permit DIY electrical. That is assuming you are still certified to work in Ohio even though you currently do not.
6 :
If he is licensed in Georgia it doesnt matter where he is from.
