About Do people that work in downtown Atlanta get harassed by the homeless

Do people that work in downtown Atlanta get harassed by the homeless.?
I walked downtown one day and like 3 people asked me for money, alot of wierdos in downtown. I saw alot of business people walking around there so Im wondering if they get bothered too.

Downtown Atlanta definitely has a problem with panhandlers. Ignoring them is easy but some can get aggressive with their activities.

A lot of these people are drug addicts, alcoholics or mentally ill. It's a very sad situation. Yes, they will broach you in the street, but generally they're not aggressive. While I have sympathy for the homeless, I don't want to give anyone money that will be used to buy cigarettes, beer or drugs. According to my brother, who headed up a national program for the homeless, it's better to give funds to recognized charities.

When I left the Tabernacle (from a concert) there was a guy asking for change. I didn't have any and I felt really bad. =( Then before this (same place though) we were walking to the Tabernacle and there was this kinda freaky lady arguing with herself. =( the world is a really sad place. *star*
