no, not at all. at 6 hours by law they have to give you a break.

The part about working four hours a day with no break is legal. The part about having 30 minutes of your work unpaid is not legal. You are required to be paid for every minute that you work. In some cases, some employers are also required to pay you for "preparation" time; that is, the time it takes you to get logged onto your computer, or the time it takes you to put on safety equipment or company-required equipment. If you're doing work for the benefit of the company and they are not paying you for it, contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission if you work for a large company or for the government, or a labor lawyer if you work for a small company.
