You need to file them eventually, but if you owe the government money you need to file before the dead line so they won't audit you. If you was claiming 0 dependents while you was in georgia most likely you don't owe them.

Not only is it worthwhile, it is legally necessary.

I agree with the last respondent. Even if you don't owe a penny, it's imperative that you be up front and honest with the IRS. If not, it'll come back to haunt you.
